Job description

  • Senior-level experience as an Active Directory systems engineer – 8+ years
  • Design AD sites and services according to the requirements and best practices
  • Monitoring connectivity, synchronization, replication, netlogon, time services, FSMO roles, schema, NTDS database partitions, DNS settings, SRV records, and trust relationships
  • Design AD services monitoring policies
  • Day-to-day management of the domain controllers F: Backups and restores on domain controllers
  • Extensive knowledge in all facets of AD-related tasks and activities, as well as with Domain Controllers (from architecture, engineering, deployment, operational and support perspective)
  • Expert in Active Directory and the associated Microsoft product line and have a solid understanding of Identity Management
  • Excellent understanding of Directory services to troubleshoot all escalated issues
    Identity Management
  • Excellent writing skills with a proven background in writing documentation, presentations and policy
    Tier 4 support experience
  • Scripting (the ability to author and edit scripts; such as PowerShell)
  • Certifications highly desirable
  • Experience with Microsoft applications and technologies that are within the scope of this engineering role, such as (MCSE, Azure, AWS, Office 365)
  • Microsoft Advanced Group Policy Management (AGPM)
  • Microsoft Distributed File System (DFS, DFSR)
  • Active Directory Federated Services (ADFS)
  • Microsoft File/Print services
  • Administering Active Directory and know Active Directory inside and out.
  • Strong knowledge of AD zone types as well as multi-forest design and communications
  • Comprehensive background in managing Windows server and workstation-based operating systems (including Windows 2003-2016) via Active Directory Group Policy.
  • Strong experience in the upgrade/maintenance of all facets of a large/enterprise Active Directory environment.
  • PowerShell, AWS, DFS, Direct hands-on experience in IAM (Identity and Access management) /RBAC (Role-Based Initiatives)
  • Experience setting up the AD roadmap
  • Experience setting up the AD roadmap

Desired Skills

  3. Documentation
  4. Leadership, and strategic planning experience in IAM and Role-Based Access Control initiatives desired but not required.
  5. Experience with agile development methods, data integration mechanisms, architectural design tools and working in an Azure Integrated Active Directory environment is a huge plus
