Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled AWS/DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in AWS system architecture, administration, maintenance tasks, and implementing robust security measures. Professional level certifications in AWS are required, along with a proven track record of at least 5 years of experience specifically in AWS and a total of 10 years in overall IT.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage AWS infrastructure solutions to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Administer and maintain AWS services and resources, including but not limited to EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and VPC.
- Implement robust security measures in AWS environments, including access controls, encryption, and compliance standards adherence.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline operational tasks and enhance system reliability.
- Monitor AWS infrastructure health, proactively identify and resolve issues, and perform root cause analysis for incidents.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect and deploy resilient and scalable AWS services.
- Stay updated on emerging AWS technologies and best practices, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering knowledge sharing and professional development.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Professional level certifications in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer).
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in AWS system architecture, administration, and maintenance tasks.
- Total of 10 years of overall IT experience, including experience with cloud-based environments.
- Strong understanding of AWS services and resources, as well as best practices for their configuration and management.
- Experience implementing and managing security measures in AWS environments, including IAM, security groups, and encryption.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using tools such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proactive attitude towards learning and staying updated on new technologies and industry trends.
